The Filthy Rich have succeeded in blaming Obama…Orwellian logic if ever there was.

This is a Happy New Decade’s look back at what we were thinking in 2000, prior to W’s stealing Presid

It’s
no wonder we’ve forgotten how good it was then; who would want to face
the fact that our attitude of the inevitability of slow progress for
the good over time was once and forever totally and irrevocably
demolished? Indeed, most people now have an attitude of expecting that
the future will bring ever more deterioration of conditions in all
areas of our life.

I consider it truly amazing that one Administration can so drastically
change, nay, reverse, an American optimism that has been part of our
makeup since the inception of this country.

Imagine: In one decade we’ve gone from polls showing Americans
believing that the next decade (and century) will be America’s
decade/century (in 2000) to most American’s believing that the next
century and decade is China’s time to pass us by and be the preeminent
world power.

Once again, we just can’t thank the W. enough — blowing the Clinton
surplus, destroying America’s reputation in the world, undermining
American’s faith in the government to function effectively in any of
the ways it has in the past, eliminating the government’s financial
ability to tackle problems, and so on.

But, no mind, everyone will forget this. The filthy rich have already
succeeded in convincing over 40% of the population that — in less than
one year — somehow Obama caused all those changes that Obama found on
his desk when he came into office.

Now, that’s some Orwellian logic if ever there was. Of course, if they
could simply explain to me how it was that Obama was the one behind the
scenes instrumental in W’s steal of the election from Gore, then I’d
have to agree with them.

I’m a big sci fi nut; but in reality I don’t buy actions in the present
causing things in the past, as the Republicans and the pundit-puppets
of the filthy rich hold as their hidden but basic assumption on which
to build all their criticisms of Obama for the things they themselves
created in the past.
It’s enough to weary these old neurons of mine. But then I feel better
looking at the Republicans and realizing that, however weary these
brain cells, at least I have them.
