A rare peak into holotropic breathwork: “It’s not like anything you know or have heard about” … here’s a taste, on video, of some authentic spiritual experiences….

For those of my friends and followers who have been wondering what holotropic breathwork “looks like” here is a very rare clip…. Rare, because Stanislav Grof, its originator, has refused to allow the actual goings on of such workshops to be video recorded for media use. These experiences are too easily misunderstood and mislabeled, especially taken out of context. To my knowledge, he was unwilling to let the workshops be filmed unless the reporters themselves went through the experience. Perhaps this is one such. It occurred in the Eighties, and you will see a very young-looking Stanislav Grof facilitating here.



This is in German, so I can’t know what the commentary is saying. But this is most definitely what it looks like…. this is what i have been doing with my clients for years… this is what i have had years of experiencing with …this modality….

Simply describing what we do, no one really gets a good idea of what it’s like, for it is not like anything they know or have heard about….

Of course, this says nothing about what the actual experience is like, actually feels like …. nor can it convey the profound transformations that go on inside one, or the depth and meaningfulness of the experience to one’s life….

The purpose for existence: “You might say that we are video games for God, who has disintegrated Herself into many, in a process of forgetting….”

it’s true that when we realize our fundamental reality as Divinity … fully … we cast off the body and the state of physical reality as being essentially unreal and inconsequential….

however, till that ultimate overstanding … in the meantime … and we, as God, know this beforehand, before incarnating in physical reality …  being in the body is fun!! or at least more interesting than spirit by itself….

so, there is a damn good reason for duality … a damn good reason for God forgetting Himself….

you might say that we are video games for God, who has disintegrated Herself into many, in a process of forgetting … just for the fun of it….

another way of saying it is that we are God, who is high, and is having a “night out on the town” … for that you can read, who is “tripping out in the Universe” for the fun or “glory” of it … making it all more by adding it being interesting to what is already All That Is

yes, you heard me. we are drunken gods…. we are God when he’s trippin.

knowing this purpose for physical reality … at this time in this story of Earth … well,

“Why We Think Less Is More: There is a good reason why we make the mistake of confusing unfeelingness and a vapid personality and life experience with a greater and more Divine one. We are so traumatized by things that have been done to us in early life … maybe we had an angry daddy, a cruel mommy … that we get comfort only in imagining a Divine with no emotional qualities. We would rather cuddle with a statue, cozy up to a piece of granite, or be enamored of an empty concept or an ambiguous image or symbol than expose ourselves to what we feel to be the only alternative. That is, that Divinity might come crashing down on us like a thunderbolt … something perhaps our parents did. Because life was threatening to us, once, we seek to create a Divinity, thus, a Reality, that will not be, cannot be.

We wish to repress passion, anger, and tears out of existence. Churches call them “sinful”; we deem them “inappropriate” in middle class homes. We create stories where Spock-like figures are said to be mystical, religious, holy, when actually it is Frodo who is. Abbie Hoffman was more mystical, in this sense, than any Pat Robertson or Billy Graham.”
